The Third Year of Forever

Before I met Brian, the thought of spending forever with someone was just downright scary. Clearly, I hadn't met the one I was supposed to spend forever with yet. But, the first time Brian and I went out, I actually knew that I was going on my very last first date. Three years ago today, I became the luckiest girl in the world by becoming Mrs. Brian Witzig. Even though I was totally committed and completely in love, forever still seemed like a pretty long time.

Last night, as Brian and I snuggled and watched yet another movie that only he and I would find entertaining, I realized that the word forever has taken on an entirely new meaning for me. I GET to spend the REST OF MY LIFE with this man! We GET to be together FOREVER! And ya know what? Forever just doesn't seem long enough anymore.

Happy 2nd Father's Day Brian!!

Hopey's only a few hours old in this picture, but already you can tell that she's been blessed with such an amazing daddy! Brian, when I married you, I knew I had gotten the best husband in the world. But at the time, I had no idea what an incredible father you would turn out to be. Everyday you continue to amaze me with your patience, love, and adoration of our little Doodle Bug. You are absolutely one of a kind, and I hope you know that your girls love the socks right off of ya!!!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!

Already??

As you probably already know, I'm the picture taking addict in our family, and I'm almost always BEHIND the camera. For this reason, once a month I hand Brian the camera and ask him to take a picture of Hopey and me. If I didn't do that, I don't think we'd have a single picture of the two of us! Anyway, I just went through the last batch of pictures and had to do a double take when I saw this month's picture of us. Look at her face. This is the look I used to give my mom when I was 17, and I just knew that she was "totally uncool" and "had no clue". I thought I still had a few years before she was giving me this look!!

I was Inspired!

Last week, my good friend Debbie posted pictures of her daughter in pigtails, and they were oh so cute! Anyway, that got me thinking that Hopey definitely has enough hair to at least try for some pigtails of her own!! For your viewing pleasure, here's my first ever attempt at pigtails on a little girl who can't stand to have her hair touched! :) And I'm sorry, I know the pictures are all extremely similar, but you only have your first pigtails once!
